Do You Need Personal Performance Coaching?
 

Several years ago I heard a story about a manger struggling to pay his bills.  So, he decided it was time to consult with a “financial expert” and see what could be done.  The young manager made an appointment with a financial expert who was highly respected among his peers.  As the story goes, the financial expert’s office was located in the best part of town in a building on Park Avenue. The young  manger entered  the financial expert’s building and was confronted with a elegantly decorated reception room. But, the moment of truth came when there was no receptionist to greet him.  Instead, he was greeted by two more doors.  One of the  doors was marked “employed” and the other door was marked, “self-employed.”  Startled, but determined, he entered the door marked “employed.”  To his surprise, he was greeted by two more doors.  One was marked “makes less than $50,000 a year” and the other was marked “makes more than $50,000 a year.”  Since he made less than $50,000, he entered that door.  Then, immediately in front of him were two more doors. The one on the left was marked “saves more than $2,000 a year” and the one on the right was marked “saves less than $2,000 a year.”  Since the young man saved less than $2000 a year, he entered the door on the right.  Then, when he went through that door, he found himself right back on Park Avenue where he originally started.  Now, the moral to this story is, “if you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’ll keep getting what you’ve been getting.”  At Razors Edge, we endeavor to help you discover what you need to do in order to reach your goals.
